Mom thought Dad did the laundry when she wasn't home...WRONG! Nolan does it! He is all business when it comes to taking the clothes out of the dryer!

A Proud Moment To Be a Dad...or Maybe Not!

It was the end of the work day and time to get to pick Nolan up from daycare! I entered the room he was in and Nolan was at the far end of the room. I usually like to watch him for a minute interacting with the other kids, but this time he saw me as I came in. He immediately dropped the toy he was playing with and started to do a super speed crawl over to me.

I was thinking to myself that one of the great satisfactions of being a parent is when your child hasn't seen you all day and when he does he comes running (crawling in this case!) to you for a big hug.

Well this was the first time he had done this and here he comes crawling faster than ever! As he made his way to me I kneeled down and put my arms out to pick him up. Just as he was about to reach my arms, he veered sharply off to the left. What could possibly be better than crawling over to Dad I thought to myself.....how about a furry, flaming hot pink rocking horse!!!

Not what I was expecting to see, but it was pretty funny!

Mischievous Stage!

Nolan turns 8 months old this week! What does an 8 month old do when sick at home with pneumonia and an ear infection? He takes everything out of the junk food cabinet and empties all the contents!

Smarty Pants!

Believe it or not the first quarter of school is already over with! With that comes the first report card of the year and Julian once again has received all "A's"!!

My Hair

I love my hair, but if my mom keeps trying to put it in pig tails there isn't gonna be any waiting until my first birthday before I'm going to have my dad cut it short like his!!!

Milestones!!!

The last couple days Nolan has done several "firsts"!

The most exciting thing is that he has started crawling and we officially have our hands full!! Within a day of this feat Nolan is managing to crawl from one end of the room to the other and he's even opening cabinet doors! Time for baby-proofing!!

Nolan outgrew his first car seat so it was time to upgrade!!

Julian had a Halloween party at school Friday night and this year he went as a gangster! Check out his Bling Bling!!

Soccer!

The soccer season is winding down and Julian played on Saturday in one of only a couple games left on the schedule. He ended up with two goals and an assist from the corner kick he is making in the picture. The basketball season is just around the corner, but not before Julian tries out some deer hunting!

On Saturday we went to Miller's Farm in Rockport to get pumpkins. Nolan also got his first upclose experience with a horse, but it was short lived as he wan't too impressed!
